What Does SmartEO Do for Insurance Agents?
SmartEO places errors & omissions insurance for licensed insurance producers in Missouri and Kansas. Beacon Point Insurance is a producer, not a carrier — coverage is issued by licensed insurance carriers we work with. What we add is the front-end: an online application, a clear quote, digital binding, and an automated renewal reminder so E&O coverage doesn’t lapse by accident.
Why Did We Build SmartEO?
Most E&O lapses don’t happen because an agent decides not to renew. They happen because a renewal notice gets buried in a busy inbox, the wholesaler is hard to reach, or the application gets pushed back week after week until it’s the day before expiration.
The cost of those lapses isn’t theoretical — it shows up as gaps in claims-made coverage and as carrier appointment problems. We thought removing friction from the renewal cycle was a more useful thing to ship than another rate-comparison tool.

Beacon Point Insurance is a licensed independent insurance producer based in Missouri. Our team has experience in agency operations and professional lines placement. The platform is operated by a small team of insurance and technology professionals working under Beacon Point’s licenses and regulatory oversight.

How Does SmartEO Approach E&O Placement?
We work with multiple carriers.
We don't have a single-carrier appointment that limits your options. We route your application to the carrier or wholesaler whose appetite matches your agency profile.
We don't charge separate broker fees on E&O.
Our compensation comes from carrier commissions on placed policies. If anything changes about that — for example, if a particular program required a separate fee — you'd see it on your quote in writing before you agreed to it.
We tell you who's on the paper.
Your quote and declarations page identify the carrier issuing your policy. If a wholesaler or MGA is involved in the placement, they're identified too.
We don't run advertising pixels on the application page.
Your NPN, license state, and contact details are not shared with ad networks for tracking or retargeting.
